Elder Crump

Well, well, well this past week has been so awesome!!  As crazy as we are, I still find time to love what were doing! haha but seriously things are going great!  So im getting the hang of having to do the paperwork, so today I have a little bit more time!!  So here in the zone tarapoto things are going great!  We already have 3 baptisms for the zone for this month! Our goal is 17 with 5 families!  Think we can do it? You bet your bottom dollar we can!  Im excited!!

So i am going to answer some questions to calm mom down! haha so first off we have 14 elders in our zone so yes im a father again... we live above a family of members!  Our pensionista!  Her name is Luzmila and she has 4 kids and they are so funny but little twerps!! haha but they have this little boy named andre...mom lets just say when you see his pic your gonna want to take him home! hahah  So we live in this one room apartment, but its actually nice!  We only have cold cold cold water which i actually like!  The animals i here, i dont actually quite know what they are, but today for p day were going exploring in the jungle, and were going to go hit up some of the sweet waterfalls they have here!  But all the time i see dogs, cats, sheep, pigs, chickens, monkeys, SPIDERS, bugs, lions and tigers and bears,  girl snakes, and all that jazz!  Im hoping today i will see more!  So the mission runs the district so its like President Blunck is the president of tarapoto and we are like his counselers.  They have a branch president but every thing has to go through us then the president of the mission.  My goal is by the time i leave here is to have them become a stake! Its gonna be rough, but right now it just depends if the members will start to take action!  SO like i said we are working like no other! We are mainly focused on our zone, which means we dont have too much time to work in our area, but that still doesnt stop us, right now we have two families that are preparing for the 17 of nov.  One is a madre soltera...i dont remember how to say that in english...a mom who is a alone and doesnt have a husband...  haha oh boy thats bad  and a padre soltero  a dad who doesnt have a wife!  Both have two kids!  Also we have this young guy named Diogo as well for the 17! Im excited for them!!  Its going to be an awesome month!

So i think i answered about all of them... oh yeah we drive in these moto taxis  is a motercycle with a carraige like thing on the back! haha  its actually a smart idea, I think im gonna bring it to utah! hahah  hmmm what else...oh yeah i did get the tape and it was amazing!!!! Thank you so so much!!!  Im so happy!  So about the packages... every month we go to Lima and we have a conference with president and then we get the mail.. so if you want to send some thing for december send it this month, because we go the first of december to pick it up!  So family like i said things are going great!  The jungle is a whole other world!  Seriously so beautiful!  I have only been asked by 5 girls here to have me take them back home and marry them, and 3 of them were under the age of 9, haha no just kidding, but really the people are so different, but so amazing!  I truly have such a love for these people.  They are my brothers and sisters, and i am so lucky to know them.  They teach us such an amazing lesson to know that it doesnt matter how much you make, but how much faith you have in God.

Family, I want you all to remember that hey this life isnt easy, sometimes were on top, but as we know we can fall down.  Don't look at challenges as a burden, or dont fill your mind with thoughts of why me? But look at it as a way to strenthen your faith in God.  He is always with us no matter what.  Times may be hard, but when one door closes, Heavenly Father opens a window, the windows of heaven, and he will pour us out a blessing, that there wont be room enough to recieve it!  Family i love you will all my heart! Your always in my prayers, and thoughts! I thank you for your love, and support!

Buenas días America! Well this week was a lot of contacting nothing like a fun filled week of contacting. We found a family this week and they are awesome! We started their papers to be married today so thats always a good thing. It was kind of funny because we had been contacting for like an hour and a half so i was just frusterated not really in a good mood to teach someone. This family lets us in and i just said "look we are here to help you as a family by baptizing you" Well that worked because they were like "ok, great, weve never been baptized before also we want to get married"!! Also this week we had a baptism of a single mom. We have been teaching her for about a month now and she finally had gotten the answer to her prayers that she had been waiting for. Haha myles is playing soccer! nice. I wont lie i kind of felt sad this week thinking that myles will be going soon after i come home. but i guess he´s gotta go somethime  Hey Mom - Dad said your already stressing about what to send me for Christmas christmas! tranquilo no mas! everyone is starting to put up christmas stuff, its making me trunky. haha nah but really. Elder Crump

Wow this week was so so crazy!  Being a zone leader is like a whole different thing!!  We are constantly doing paperwork, driving around to all the areas visiting the elders, and their investigators as well as familes!!  Here in Tarapoto everyone is a branch there isn't wards or stakes just 4 branches. The branches are ran by the mission.    Which means... us!  So crazy!  Also, we have another zone called Yurimaguas that is about 3 hours away that are now apart of our zone!  So we have to go visit them as well!  Seriously its so insane, but i love it!

This week we had our district conference with President Blunck and his wife!  It was awesome!!  We had the assistants stay with us for the weekend because we had interviews with the president and his wife!!  Plus we had a massive baptism the same day!!  Talk about a lot off weight getting thrown on my shoulders!! haha  It seriously was so so crazy!  We ended up baptising like 9 people!! Our investigator couldn't get baptized but this next week on the 10th he will be, along with 2 other familes that we found and a couple of teens.  November will be our month of success!! Im stoked!!

The jungle is so so different i love it!! Even my accent is changing to the charapa.  I say things like Eldercito, y hermanita, ya pues hermanita haha its very different, but I love it!  The people here are so humble, and so amazing! So welcoming!  Haha I am afraid of he jungle girls, its getting to be very hot here and the hotter it gets the crazier the teenage girls get!  Plus less clothing...oh boy definatly not in utah anymore!! haha but dont worry our pensionista kicks them away!  Whenever they want to come talk to us or try and flirt she throws water on them! and yells at them!! haha  i love that woman!!

So I cannot belive that I have been out for one year.... seriously time isn't even real anymore!  Plus guess what when the assistants were here they had 3 packages for me!! So on my one year mark i got the camel!!  haha plus all the ties from Trev, all the candy, the pictures!! Thank you so much! The elders all about died when they saw the pictures of Corinne and Brady!! haha plus one even said Brady was good looking....ya im a little worried about that elder... haha just kidding but seriously... haha so things are so crazy we have so much to do all the time!! But i seriously love it!! I loved the pictures of Hud bud y Norah  you guys got some cute kids!!!
I'll be sending some more pictures later!!

I love you so so much!! thank you for all you do!!!

Well hey,
Im a tired boy...We have been working with this family (the chavez family) for awhile to get them married and baptized. We finally get all their papers done and documents and paid for all of it and the night before we go to their house and they tell us that they made up their mind and that they are going to wait to get married because they wanted to buy nicer clothes for their wedding and have a reception and what not! Haha ya i dont think so! We married and baptized them both! Elder Mar one of the other missionaries came with me to teach them in the night to help them realize why they are getting married. The dad was tearing up at the end because he realized after waiting years to be baptized but never could because of problems with his papers and marriage that the lord finally provided him a way to get it done. His wife was being stubborn all the way until she entered the font saying she didnt want to be baptized. After she said thanks for calling my bluff and helping get baptized. We also baptized the girlfriend of a kid who is getting ready to leave for his mission in the next month. Well i officially have more than one year! So funny stuff the day of the wedding i started feeling sick and by the night i was feeling pretty bad so we went to the clinic at like 10 at night. The doctor just said i had a fever gave me a shot in my butt to break the fever some pills and sent me home. The next day i was worse but i still baptized the family. (thats why i look like bad in the pictures.) So we went back to the clinic with another doctor. This one was better turns out i had strep. So he gave me another shot in my butt for the fever and the right meds. Im all good now! (mom please do not call the mission or anything like that im fine!) Thats pretty much how i spent my one year mark!! Hno Sesinio (the husband of my pension) gave me a blessing, and was watching out for me. He started crying in during the blessing because im like a son to him. It was cool. Well thats about it....loves reg

My family
Wow crazy stuff crazy stuff..I have one year! Its gone by pretty fast I cant believe it. Well it was transfers this last week, im still in the same area, I heard from 3 different people that I was changing but I guess that was a lie. Didnt really think that I would though. Well this week has just been all running errands and making calls to get birth certificates to marry this family we have. I have never had such a big problem marrying someone before. Ya nick got transfered to Tarapoto in the jungle. I hear its small but the most beautiful of the jungle areas. We have a new gringo in our zone. Makes me laugh to realize how bad your spanish is when you first start out, also because mine was way worse. This week I realized im not having as many spiritual expiriences as when I first started my mission. I need to be humble! Thats why I love love LOVE Ether 12.27 I always tell people here that my dad tells me to humble myself because if I dont the Lord will help me. Funny thing that you wrote me about prayers Dad because I was thinking this week that I need to pray in the morning more like I used to. Get on my knees and just ask what should I do today! Im going to do that again now! Well im grateful for all of you and all that you have done for me this last year! Ive learned so much and my testimony has tripled! Thank you for your prayers, letters, packages, advice everything! Im so proud to have the parents and family that I do! Cant believe I have a year.  Love you all have a great week! love reg

Family!!!
I am so so happy!! It has been such a crazy week!!! So Like I said, Im finally In the jungle!!  Seriously Tarapoto is so beautiful!  Im so excited in a couple of P days were gonna go to the waterfalls!!  Outside my window is the jungle!  I hear animals all night!  I love it!  It normally doesn't rain here, but this month is when the rain comes!  It's so nice, because let me tell you it is blazing hot!!!  And when the clouds come in, and its starts to pour its like and answer to our prayers, and i start doing the rain dance! haha seriously I love it here!!  I was in Lima WAY TOO LONG!!
So my comp is from argentina and he was actually in tahuantinsuyo in the same area like 4 months before me!! He is so awesome! He has been out for about 15 months!  He doesn't really have his accent, but its still there!  So it was hard to leave tahua and my pensionista cried along with my peruvian mom, and grandma!!  It was rough, but every month we go back to lima for a zone leader conference, so i can see them then!!
So im super sorry i don't have too much time to write.  We have to write all these informes, so it like takes up my time!!  But all is good!!  Yes there are spiders, bugs, snakes....ugh...but i have only seen the girl kind...oh boy  im nervous!!  Anyway seriously, i love it here!! Its insane!! My pensionista is named luzmila, haha she is so funny but sassy, haha.  Sorry i really got to go, but i promise next week i will write more!  Oh yeah ps, this week we got three investigators preparing for their baptism!  I love the jungle!!!

Wow baby sounds like your all turning into hipees or something! Haha You all look diferent which is crazy. Thats cool that Myles is starting mission prep classes and kind of weird too. Had a good week this past week. Went by super fast. I worked really hard getting papers together for marriages. We had a baptisms of a little teen girl who is our next door neighbor. Just decided to talk to them last week and well we baptized their daughter and the parents are getting married on the 26 and baptized the same day. Well today is transfers! Hope Pres. will finally send nick to me again. He´s got to leave that smoggy lima air! Well i just got told that im staying here its not official yet, I Just walked into the computer room and another elder said he saw the changes and told me. I guess E. sanchez is going to lima for his last change...that kinda of sucks. The guy whos moto i helped is awesome! I love this family. I told them if im going to be here for thanksgiving that i would buy a turkey, they are excited about that. Ah man! is Dakota ok? Do they know whats wrong with him. I couldnt imagine having migraines all day. Hope he gets better. So facts about Iquitos the city of Iquitos is busy. There are a ton of motorcars and motorcycles. The shops and stands are all really close together. But there isnt as many stands with tourist stuff like there is in mexico. I think that it is a little hard to teach people here about God. Everyone prays to him like he is a monster or a robot. It´s a good feeling when you here someone pray to him like a father. There is too much crying and shouting and hallelujahs from the evangelist.
Well dont know what else to say, So we are going to go look at the transfers and stuff right now so ya ill let you know everything next week!
Hope all is well much love♥♥♥ Reg
